1) Barranquilla was chosen 2013 capital of culture for his intense influence in the promotion of culture. Barranquilla´s carnival meets 200 years this year, is the perfect moment to be choosen capital of culture. I´m happy for the people of the city they will be really proud of his city.
2)I don´t know if Barranquilla will receive some of the beneficts but if they receive some beneficts maybe the carnival or the city will change for good. I didn´t know that notice, for me is really intersting see how the city takes this.
Chris! I agree with you in your answers. I think in the second one, Barranquilla is going to have a lot of benefits, for example, being promoted by 2 international channels is going to make it known, and also a lot of people will want to come and know so much about Barranquilla and its culture. Barranquilla is changing and getting better everyday. I think this one is an opportunity to show our culture and the wonderful things that our region has.
